Every year, the transition from spring into summer in the Adirondacks is marked by the Great Adirondack Birding Festival (GABC), hosted by the Paul Smith’s College VIC.  It's a great time to explore one of my favorite places in the region - Madawaska!

Motorcycling to the Top of the Whiteface Region

If country roads that meander alongside flowing rivers with a backdrop of majestic mountains sounds like a good place to ride a motorcycle, you’re in luck. We’ll even throw in a side trip to the top of an Adirondack peak.

100 Years a Suffragette

The Hancock House was the setting for a talk with the theme "Adirondack Suffragists: 100 Years of Votes for Women." Both Hancock House-Ticonderoga Historical Museumand the Adirondack History Museum in Elizabethtown will be celebrating the centennial of women's suffrage with new exhibits during the 2017 summer season.

Let the Good Times Roll

Schroon Lake is more than just a pretty place to play in the water (although, you can certainly do that in a number of spots!). For those who like their biking routes a bit on the flat side we've got them! If mountain biking is what you're after, our rugged ranges add a challenge to your route. Here are some fine choices for that next awesome trek.
