The Adirondack Rail Trail is a 34-mile, multi-use path that connects the communities of Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid. In the spring, summer, and fall, users can cycle and walk along the crushed-gravel, handicap-accessible trail. In the winter, snowmobilers share the corridor with snowshoers, cross-country skiers, and fat-tire bikers.

Great Camps have been part of Adirondack culture for well over a century. Originally designed as rustic yet luxurious retreats for the rich and famous during the height of the Gilded Age, some of these Great Camps are now open to the public for everyone’s enjoyment. Take a bike ride to Great Camp Santanoni in the Adirondack Hub, or attend an event at Great Camp Sagamore in Hamilton County!

The Lake Champlain Region played a vital role in the history of our country, particularly during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Traveling throughout this area, you can catch battle reenactments at Fort Ticonderoga and walk along the ruins of an important fort at Crown Point State Historic Site.

You can do it all on this iconic mountain. Take a drive up the Whiteface Veterans’ Memorial Highway, or summit via the hiking trail. Catch the gondola up to Little Whiteface, and even play some disc golf or grab a bite at an on-site restaurant. In the winter, spend the day on the slopes or grab your cross-country skis and head up the Toll Road, a classic adventure.
